9.18.10 ~ Meeting Simon

On Friday Liam and I finally met Lynda and Simon. Lynda is Rachel’s (Wachew’s) sister who just moved to New York from Utah. We’d been following each other’s blogs and occasionally emailing since before Liam was born, but we had never met in person. Then, a few months ago, Rachel told me that Lynda’s husband had been accepted to Law School at Columbia and that they would soon be New Yorkers. And Friday’s meeting had been in the works pretty much since then. Liam and Simon were only vaguely interested in each other (as we all kind of expected). However, they did manage to bond a bit over their love for trucks, sand, and throwing sticks and debris down the grates in the park. Welcome to New York, Lynda, Simon, and Robert! We’re looking forward to many more play dates!
